- First time cloud giant sponsors a UK event-
London, 14 August 2013: Underscoring its reputation as the fastest growing and most popular end-to-end enterprise IT event, IP EXPO, has announced Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a sponsor for this year’s show in October 2013. This is the first time AWS has sponsored a UK event and at the show the company will be hosting a partner area and education programme, the Amazon Web Services Lab, which will give attendees another opportunity to meet experts from one of the world’s best-known cloud providers face-to-face.
The Amazon Web Services Lab will host a full programme of business, technical and live demo sessions. As well as the partner area there will be a seminar line-up that will focus on demonstrating how the company’s range of cloud-based services, compute & networking, database, storage, CDN, deployment, management and application services, can help businesses become more agile, save money and better serve their customers.
“Attending IP EXPO augments the AWS events programme we currently run in the UK and Europe. We spend a lot of time meeting customers and helping them migrate to the AWS cloud. Attending this event gives us another opportunity to meet with UK and European businesses that are eager to move to AWS,” said Marcello Bellinaso, AWS Marketing Manager, Amazon EU Sarl.
In addition to presenting live sessions, technical experts from AWS, and its partners, will be on hand to help customers and promote AWS business, on a one-on-one basis, through how they can move their businesses to the cloud.
Hugh Keeble, managing director of IP EXPO organiser, Imago Techmedia, said: “We are delighted that AWS has chosen IP EXPO to showcase its cloud services and further establishes IP EXPO as the leading IT event. Speaking personally, it’s a real coup for the team at Imago Techmedia, of course, but more importantly, it offers attendees a chance to meet with and learn from technical experts from a hugely significant company in this space.
“AWS’s participation in this year’s event furthers IP EXPO’s objective of bringing together the largest collection of major cloud vendors under one roof. The show really does offer visitors an opportunity that they couldn’t get anywhere else,” Keeble concluded.
IP EXPO 2013 will take place on 16 and 17 October at Earls Court 2 and will host over 250 exhibitors and 14,000 attendees over the two days.
IP EXPO 2013 covers Networks, Storage, Virtualization, Cloud, and Security, Applications, Communications, Mobility & Devices, Governance & Risk and Data & Analytics, and will be hosting seminars around topics, such as Big Data, Cloud Infrastructure, Cloud Services & Apps, Communication & Collaboration, Data Centre, Data Insight & Analytics, Desktop Virtualization, Network Optimisation, Network Security, Virtualization and Cloud, and Wireless and Mobile.
