AdaptiveMobile’s SMS spam filtering and parental controls solutions to be available to Tekelec’s global customer base
Dublin, 1st September, 2011 —
AdaptiveMobile, the world leader in mobile security, is today announcing a partnership with
Tekelec, the mobile broadband solutions company, to extend the reach of AdaptiveMobile’s SMS filtering and Parental Control solutions and enhance Tekelec’s SMS Firewall.
This partnership provides mobile operators the ability to augment Tekelec’s
SMS Firewall with AdaptiveMobile’s market leading security products to improve subscriber protection from SMS spam, fraud and inappropriate content. AdaptiveMobile’s threat detection software automates the SMS Firewall’s filters so operators can more rapidly combat new malicious SMS spam.
“With mobile service providers looking to manage and monetise the exploding traffic running through their network, it’s vital they can protect their customers from a growing number of sophisticated threats,” says Devesh Agarwal, vice president of mobile messaging, Tekelec.
“AdaptiveMobile gives operators access to the latest mobile security protection at a time when subscriber trust and the quality of each mobile service is becoming increasingly important for customer satisfaction and retention.”
Gareth Maclachlan, COO, AdaptiveMobile adds; “Tekelec is widely recognised as a global leader in efficiently and securely enabling connections for SMS and mobile data networks. It is that heritage and deep understanding of the needs and drivers of both the service providers and their subscribers which makes Tekelec an ideal partner to work with for SMS spam filtering and parental control solutions.”
AdaptiveMobile’s SMS filtering and Parental Control solutions are part of its market-leading
Network Protection Platform, which gives fixed and mobile network operators the means to implement a consistent policy-based view of subscriber behaviour across all services including SMS, MMS, Email, Voice and Web, allowing operators to identify new exploits; whether these are mobile viruses, denial of service attacks, spam or fraudulent phishing attacks, and respond rapidly to protect their network assets, subscriber privacy and subscriber credit.
