juzz copy n paste like u did in case of "CON"
delete

Con: Console
Aux: Auxiliary devices like printers

In good old dos days, these terms (con/aux/..) were used to redirect directly from the prompt

c:> copy con tmp.txt
abcd
^Z

would have created a file tmp.txt on the disk in which the contents that you write on the console (terminal) till control-z (^Z) goes.

it will work even now. try on dos prompt.

It is just that someone found recently that you can't create the folders/ files with those name even in higher windows, not even in xp. so there was some curiosity.

It doesn't help in anything as such.
