Advertising on your Webpage
 by: Brian Lee

If one plans to integrate ads on their webpage, knowing how and where to put them is essential. Careless placement of advertisement on your page can result in loss of customers. On the other hand, correct integration can result in big success and profits. The following articles will give a few essential pointers about advertisements.

A) Amount of Ads of your page

A commonly asked question about ads is how many should I place on my website? Some people will load their page with them since they figure the more they have the better. Others attempt to go for a clean look by simply putting a few scattered ads.

The answer to this question is neither. If you put too many or too few ads to content, sales and traffic on your site will go down and loss of money will occur.

A proper ratio of ads relative to content that should be placed on your site is somewhere around 20-25. This is a good amount to have but if you have more or less then this number and its working out great for your site, then hey, keep it up.

B) Repeating Ads

Placing identical ads on each and every one of your web pages is a waste of effort and money. I mean think about it, if a visitor did not react to your ad on the first, what are the chances that he will respond to a similar on the next few pages? Basically, by repeating advertisements you are just wasting room on your page and losing money.

Always displaying the same ads can also be extremely irritating for your customers. Just keep in mind that ads are tiring enough even without seeing the same one every time one loads a new page.

C) Using Advertisements for Content

In some cases ads can and may be used as content for your site. For example, instead of placing ads which offer you the most benefits, place ads which can bring out similar interests in visitors which they originally had when surfing your website. I’m talking about ads so interesting that even you might have the tendency in responding to them.

In addition, putting gift ads up during holidays such as Valentines Day or Christmas can be a good idea you might want to utilize. During times like those, individuals are more inclined to look at the ads. Visitors actually anticipate seeing more advertisements then usual. Therefore you can place more ads on your page then usual by blending them in the content.

To conclude, the way you decide to place advertisements can have big influences on your sites traffic and profit. Just remember to keep the ratio of ads u post around 20-25; going over this number might workout but chances are it won’t.
