Intel is spreading e-learning in Africa - Global Union

Intel, in collaboration with other corporations, is putting in place a programme which aims at developing mobile e-learning in Africa. The initiative is based on Intel’s platform Definition Centre “a complete solution with integrated software and hardware that delivers an end-to-end solution for education involving students, parents, teachers and schools in a student-friendly form that will enhance learning with minimal IT infrastructure and at an affordable price� reported the newspaper This Day. The most important features of the programme are the possibilities for the teacher to assemble and take control of a wireless virtual classroom and the fact that the units are unusable out of the network environment to prevent any abuse.
