Want To Know A Secret To Online Profits?

I like the quote from Winston Churchill above don't you? Let's think about that a little bit today as it concerns our Internet endeavors.
"Does anybody really make money on the Internet?" I hear that question a lot and I'm sure you have also. The answer is a resounding yes! You want to know who succeeds and what their secret is? No, its not a guru guiding them (although that can certainly help)and its not a lot of money to invest either.
If you are truly serious about making an income from the Internet you have read many e-books and articles from many different sources. Go back and look at the ones written by authors that are making a least a 6 figure income and you will see one recurring theme. He failed. He tried something different. She failed. She tried something different. He failed. He tried something different. Are you getting my point here? They did not give up! They just kept plugging away.
Wow, wasn't that simple. Well, you say I've been working at promoting my programs part-time after work etc...for months now and I've only made a few dollars or even 0 dollars. My advice? Try something else. Go about it from a different prospective.
I want you to sit down with a pad and a pencil and make three columns. In the first column put "My Affiliate Programs" in the second column put "Pros" and in the last column put "Cons". Now go to each of your programs member page and log in look for the pros and cons of each program. Write them down. Here are some questions to ask yourself:
1. Does it have plenty of marketing resources to help you promote the product?
2. Does it have easy access to help and advice?
3. Is it something you would buy yourself? Do a search with Overture
http://inventory.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/ to see if anyone is really looking for your product.
4. Do a search with Google. Is the market saturated with that product? Maybe the competition is to stiff.
5. If you have never received a payment have you asked around and found out if this a reliable company that really pays its affiliates?
6. Are you passionate about the product? Please do not try to sell something you don't really care about.
These are just some questions to get you started what I want you to do is really research your programs and get rid of any you think are a waste of time.
Next I want you to do the same thing with your advertising. Do the 3 columns like above and really research the way you have been advertising what's been working and what hasn't. The best tool for this type of research is a ad tracking URL which most of the good affiliate programs will provide for you.
I recommend that you keep track of every ad you place so that you will not waste your time or money on any advertising that is not working.
Finally, do not give up. I would suggest trying a new form of advertising everyday. There are plenty of ways to get free advertising if you don't have a very large marketing budget. You may find that working traffic exchanges is the best way to go for you or maybe using safelist just be sure and advertise in some way everyday always tracking your results!
Last but not least give it time. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but only a small handful of people jump to making thousands of dollars immediatley on-line. You are going to have to work at it and work hard.
