POSITION TITLE: French Language Specialist
SCU: Content Operations Group
PROJECT SUMMARY & POSITION OVERVIEW
Responsible for gathering financial, economic and company descriptive data from various financial documents or reports and translating them into the French language. In addition research and summarize the companies financial and descriptive information for inclusion of such details in TF's database products. The job also involves reporting and maintaining the record of work done. The Analyst is responsible for the interpretation, analysis and updating of financial related data from various sources like company web sites, annual reports, quarterly reports and broker reports.
ESSENTIAL DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Analyze and update financial information
*To study, analyze and gather financial information from financial
reports filed by the companies or published on their web sites
*To research and translate information that are time bound and guided by
policies that are specified to be translated
*To research and collect information periodically from companies reports
including Press Releases, external news sources or announcements made
by the company
*To ensure timely translation of financial information so specified and
make them available to the Production Team for further analysis and
input into the tool used by the Research Analysts
*To maintain and archive translated information so that they are
available for future research or reference
*To undertake any other reasonable duties as & when required
*Compile relevant data and update the database accurately to the required standards of productivity and quality
*Process data items through daily researching of content provided to various Thomson products
*Work on daily quality check reports to produce error free reports
*Manage multiple projects and priorities at any given time
*Escalate issues related to the tool, process or product to Supervisors
*Recommend enhancements to streamline collection methods wherever applicable

*Computer literacy in Microsoft Office/similar Software i.e. Excel,
Word, Outlook and Internet (Essential)
*Graduate
*Excellent written English (Essential)
*Fluency in the following foreign language (Essential) French
*Years of Experience (0 2 Years)
*Good communication and interpersonal skills (Essential)
*Confident manner (Essential)
*Ability to work independently & within a team (Essential)
*Excellent attention to detail (Essential)
*Interest in financial markets (Desirable)
