ECOC Exhibition plan to welcome record crowds at this year's event in Valencia
London, 18th May 2015: Nexus Business Media Ltd, organisers of the European Conference on Optical Communications (ECOC) 2015 Exhibition are celebrating their 20th anniversary of the prestigious exhibition in style, at this year's event in Valencia. The ECOC Exhibition, which is now the largest optical communications event in Europe, is the key meeting place for everyone in the fibre optic communication technology industry.
Over the past 20 years, the ECOC Exhibition has travelled to 12 different countries and 17 different venues. The very first exhibition was held in Brussels in September 1995, opening its doors to approximately 100 visitors. Now the show has more than 300 different exhibitors which in turn attracts more than 5500 eager attendees through its doors, it's now the place to get your business on the fibre optic map.
At its height the show was a complete sell-out on exhibition floor space, with more than 200 companies on the waiting list to get their chance to showcase their latest technology in optical communications. Brent Hatfield, Product manager at Molex explains the importance of being involved in the ECOC Exhibition. "It's fun to see the buzz created when people here talk about the different solutions that are happening. This exhibition is always so interesting, as you get to see first-hand all the various solutions for future ideas, and how these fit into the next generation systems".
After planning the exhibition for 11 years, the team at Nexus Business Media, decided to add new features to the 2006 show in Cannes. The FTTx Centre along with the Market Focus theatre are still a focal point of the show and a popular platform to gain industry knowledge and insight into the latest technologies available. The team receive paper submissions from businesses and professionals located all over the world to speak within the Market Focus sessions.
To further strengthen the ECOC Exhibition as the largest and most respected European show within the optical communication industry, their landmark 20th exhibition is being held at the Feria Valencia in Spain. This spectacular venue will host the event between 28th -30th September 2015 and will again provide an unrivalled opportunity for manufacturers, suppliers and service providers of optical communications to come together to meet and network with top decision makers from across the industry.
