London – February 10th 2015 – Skyscape Cloud Services Limited, the easy to adopt, easy to use and easy to leave cloud services company, has today announced a strategic partnership with TASER International BV, (NASDAQ: TASR) a supplier of body-worn cameras to UK police forces and backend digital evidence management solution, EVIDENCE.com.
Key to TASER’s decision to partner with Skyscape was its heritage as an established UK company with data centres located in the UK, in addition to Skyscape’s extensive security credentials. Indeed, Skyscape’s Infrastructure-as-a-Service, Software-as-a-Service and Platform-as-a-Service solutions are all Pan Government Accredited (PGA) up to IL3, and as such are suitable for all data at OFFICIAL (including OFFICIAL-SENSITIVE).
“Given the highly sensitive nature of the digital evidence that our AXON body cameras capture, it is vital for us to partner with providers with exemplary track records when it comes to storing data,” said Rick Smith, CEO of TASER International, Inc. and Managing Director of TASER International BV. “Skyscape’s impressive security credentials, UK-based data centres and its experience in meeting the data security requirements of high-profile Government bodies ticked all the boxes for us.”
Both Skyscape and Taser offer services through the latest G-Cloud iteration, G-Cloud 6. Skyscape has won a number of high-profile contracts via the G-Cloud Framework in conjunction with partners like TASER that embed Skyscape’s cloud platform in their solutions.
As a Skyscape partner, TASER will benefit from a genuine on-demand service and pay-by-the-hour pricing model, while its agile platform will also enable TASER to provide the lowest total cost and most flexible solution for deploying body-worn video. These significant cost savings for UK police forces will ultimately benefit each and every UK citizen and taxpayer.
“Our strategic partnership with TASER to provide secure, end-to-end solutions is yet another example of the ongoing success of our partner programme in delivering high value and cost-effective services to the public sector, without compromising on security,” said Simon Hansford, CEO of Skyscape Cloud Services. “We look forward to working with TASER in serving law enforcement agencies across the UK.”
Skyscape’s full service catalogue has been specifically designed to meet the needs of the 30,000 public sector organisations in the UK. Its customer base includes HMRC, the Home Office and the Ministry of Defence, all of whom have considerable data protection requirements. Skyscape is one of the most connected cloud providers to Government community networks, such as the PSN Assured service, the encrypted PSN Protected service, legacy GCF networks, and the N3 health network, among others.
