Ascribe has today announced that The Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust has chosen to upgrade its current patient administration system (PAS) to Ascribe strategic PAS solution, CaMIS. This is a key building block towards the Trust achieving a fully functional electronic patient record (EPR) solution.
The EPR functionality will be delivered using the Ascribe Health Application Platform (HAP) for interoperability. This gives the Trust access to all of the clinical modules required to deliver a full EPR and clinical portal. Over the period of the contract, the Trust is able to use all modules from Ascribe for all licensed users. This gives the Trust access to all the functionality required by a secondary care environment and the interoperability to allow the Trust to work with other third party solutions. The Ascribe departmental solutions (such as pharmacy) and cross-departmental functionality (such as e-prescribing, decision support, order communications, document management and care pathways) are also provided within the contract signed.
Ascribe has a long standing relationship with The Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust and also provides the Trust with systems in their:
- Emergency Department
- Medical hardware tracking
- Endoscopy Suite
James Rawlinson, Associate Director of IT Services at The Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust, said on behalf of the Trust: “We are looking forward to working with Ascribe to implement the new Ascribe solution. We expect the new licensing model will provide further value to the Trust and provide our staff with a more integrated and sophisticated way of accessing patient records. With the new system, staff will be able to access key information quicker which, most importantly, means more time spent caring for our patients and could ultimately help to speed up treatment.”
Stephen Critchlow, CEO of Ascribe stated: ”I am delighted by The Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust’s decision to select Ascribe as their EPR partner. We are confident we can provide improvement to patient care and efficiency as the module is rolled out which pay for the system many times over.”
