Chris Underhill joins leading Lifecycle Marketing firm as non-executive director
London, 20 February 2012 – Magiq has today announced the appointment of Chris Underhill, a new non-executive director. Underhill, who previously held the role of CEO at SmartFOCUS Group, joins Magiq to help launch its new Lifecycle Marketing product, LifecycleMAGIQ, and support the company’s future expansion strategies.
A seasoned technology marketer, Underhill brings more than 20 years of business growth, customer insight and multi-channel marketing knowledge and experience to Magiq. This expertise will be utilised as the company aims to become the first lifecycle marketing company, specifically serving the Small and Medium (SMB) market. LifecycleMAGIQ will focus on delivering powerful, effective real-time web marketing tools aimed at helping cross-channel marketing teams enhance sales performance, conversion rates and customer engagement quickly and affordably.

As a founder and CEO of SmartFOCUS, Underhill was instrumental in building a leading international cross-channel marketing technology company, focused on helping marketers create and use customer insight to deliver cross-channel campaigns to drive marketing ROI and build business success. Underhill led the public floatation of smartFOCUS in 2004 and in April 2011, smartFOCUS Group accepted a £25.3 million takeover offer by Emailvision Holdings Limited. Underhill started his career at decision support software company Thorn EMI Computer Software, and operated in senior positions within IT companies for the last 20 years. He cemented his marketing expertise at Computer2000, where he was responsible for a team of product marketers, and took companies like Microsoft, HP and Cisco to market.
