Hamburg, Germany. June 30, 2011 – Following on from the expansion of its partner network in Asia, the Middle East, and North and South America, the IT security provider gateProtect (

http://www.mediarecovery.pl) in early June.
“Eastern Europe in general – and Poland in particular – is a key growth market for IT security,” says Dennis Monner, CEO of gateProtect. “The demand for UTM appliances there is very strong and still growing. Mediarecovery has an excellent reputation in the IT security field and an important position in the Polish market. Our partnership enables us to provide excellent security technology that is easy to use and comes with support in the local language. This is great news for our existing and future customers in Poland.” The Hamburg-based security specialist will assist Mediarecovery in expanding its reseller network in Poland with a joint participation in trade shows, customer visits and roadshows as well as with mailings, promotional activities, training courses and certifications. “Ease of use, such as that provided by our eGUI technology, makes a decisive contribution to more efficient firewall administration, lower support costs and a higher level of protection,” adds Monner.
With the appointment of Mediarecovery as a value added distributor, gateProtect has added a market-leading Polish company to its partner network (

Mediarecovery specializes in IT security and provides its customers with incident response systems and platforms as well as with IT security infrastructures. The VAD operates one of the largest computer forensics laboratories in Europe and helps companies investigate data leaks and thefts, the source of breaches and fraud, and security vulnerabilities in their IT infrastructure. Mediarecovery’s customers include well-known companies in the banking, insurance, energy, telecommunications and heavy industry sectors. Along with its range of services, the VAD sells products and solutions from leading global security providers via its dense network of resellers throughout Poland.
Sebastian Malycha, CEO of Mediarecovery, says: “Due to the constant increase in cyber threats, companies are finding the protection of their critical information more of a challenge than ever. The complexity of the problem means that they need to protect both the infrastructure and the data – wherever it is stored and processed. This is where UTM solutions come in, as they’re an essential part of security systems in today’s corporations. The most innovative devices have significant market potential. These include the next-generation UTM solutions from gateProtect, whose key competitive advantages include state-of-the-art technology, rich functionality, a wide range of models for different requirements and companies of any size, and especially the unique and patented eGUI interface. These were the reasons we decided to work with gateProtect in Poland.”
