New York goes 3-D with Google

The city of New York and Google have partnered up to create a 3-D map using Google Maps API to create a virtual tour of the destination points of where you would like to travel in the city's five boroughs.  The maps are displayed using a custom made table, similar to Microsoft Surface, in a fully interactive touch screen that can add venues to your planned route of New York.  The city will be available in the five boroughs in 3-D, with locations such as hotels, restaurants and entertainment, with the addition of promotions and savings in selected places.   Read full story...
