Big data acceleration and security just got better

Woking, Surrey: 26th March 2012 - VAD Wick Hill announces the availability for the first time in the UK and Ireland of two new 64-bit models in A10 Networks’ range of AX Series Application Delivery Controllers (ADCs).

A10 Networks is the technology leader in secure application networking, providing scalable, compact ADCs that help customers create scalable and secure, high performance application deployments. Wick Hill is A10’s UK and Ireland distributor.

The two new 64-bit models, the AX 3200-12 and the AX 3400 are aimed at enterprises and service providers. They offer significant performance and cost advantages over earlier models. Compact and energy efficient, they also enhance data centre security with dedicated Flexible Traffic ASICs (FTAs) for Distributed DoS (DDoS) attack prevention.

The new AX 3200-12, for example, is only half the size of the successful 32-bit AX 3200, but increases performance by over 100% and has three times the memory.

AX 3200-12

A high-performance, 64-bit AX hardware appliance suited for medium to large enterprises and service providers.

- Expanding on the successful 32-bit AX 3200, the new AX 3200-12 offers significant performance and scalability advantages at half the size. - Delivers 2 million L4 CPS, 38 Gbps throughput and 12,000 SSL CPS

- Maximum power consumption is only 338 watts to achieve a best in class 5917 L4 CPS PPW

- Includes four 10 Gb fiber ports (SFP+), four 1 Gb fiber ports (SFP), twenty 1 Gb copper ports, RPS, 24 GB of ECC memory, SSD, hot swappable smart fans, L2/3 networking ASIC, two FTAs and SSL ASIC

- Expansion card for additional SSL or compression performance is available
