Data giants form strategic partnership
05.05.09 –Web analytics and marketing optimisation company Webtrends today announced a partnership with data warehousing and business analytics market leader Teradata, which will deliver vital information to businesses based on customer interactions from both the online and offline environments.
This announcement from the Teradata Universe conference in Istanbul, will be welcomed by marketers who have previously housed customer data from the online and offline worlds in separate, disparate silos, and have therefore struggled to generate a comprehensive view of customers across multiple channels.
“Information generated by customer interaction creates a wealth of valuable data for organisations but capitalising on this has thus far been hampered by a lack of integration between online and offline data,” comments Nick Sharp, general manager and VP, Webtrends. “Successfully integrating data is a significant challenge for the marketer of today, but one that will be effectively solved by this partnership.”
Sharp continues “Webtrends customers will now have the opportunity to augment best in class web analytics data with the information stored in Teradata’s integrated data warehouse, allowing them a complete, 360˚ view of their customers, and the ability to feed web behaviour based intelligence across other channels.”
