Intelligent Desktop Virtualisation Leader Captures the Interest of Solution Providers across the UK
27 March 2012 - Virtual Computer, the market leader in intelligent desktop virtualisation (IDV), today announced that as part of its UK channel launch it has signed up 40 new resellers including B2Lateral, Centralis, Cetus Solutions, Overbright, RedPixie, and Virtek. The company has also teamed up with Prianto, a virtualisation-focused distributor, to handle the volume of interest from the UK channel.
According to Yuri Pasea, Managing Director of Prianto Limited, “Virtual Computer NxTop offers today what server-hosted Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) has been promising for years – a solution that delivers on the manageability and budgetary requirements of IT with the performance end users demand. NxTop addresses all of the challenges associated with VDI, including high infrastructure costs, reduced performance, and limited mobility, giving partners a competitive edge and improving customer satisfaction.”
Virtual Computer NxTop has seen significant demand in the UK since its partner programme launch because it has solved the problems that VDI providers, such as VMware, have been unable to address. The new resellers have already kicked off over 30 new projects with more on the way.
“We are very impressed with Virtual Computer NxTop. Customers are already expressing great interest as we’ve started demonstrating this solution for them,” said Rob Greenslade, Sales & Marketing Director for Centralis, the UK's leading independent specialist in application and desktop delivery.
“NxTop comes as welcome news to solution providers that have felt the pain of stalled desktop virtualisation projects due to the limitations of server-hosted VDI deployments,” said John Glendenning, SVP of sales and business development for Virtual Computer. “Virtual Computer is helping its partners revitalise desktop virtualisation opportunities to reduce cost, enhance performance, and achieve greater profits.”
