LONDON - Thursday 22nd March 2012 - Telappliant, the leading Internet telephony provider for consumers and UK based small to medium sized enterprises (SMEs), has announced it has won the ‘Best Consumer VoIP’ award for its VoIPtalk Service at the Internet Telephony Services Providers’ Association (ITSPA) 4th annual awards. The ceremony took place on Wednesday 21st March in the House of Commons Members Dining Room, and was hosted by Dr Julian Huppert MP and Vice Chair of the Parliamentary Internet Communications and Technology Forum. Telappliant was also recognised as a strong finalist in the ‘Best Business ITSP (Micro)’ category.

According to the latest Ofcom communications market report for 2011, one in five (18 per cent) of households are now making regular VoIP calls. The ITSPA awards for Best Consumer VoIP assessed a number of solutions available on the market and reviewed factors such as value for money, technical features of the product and customer care.
