The summer holidays are upon us and we’re all reaching for our cameras to capture friends, family and tourist attractions. To leave you more time for sun, sea and fun, consumer review website Reevoo.com has compared reviews for 240 compact digital cameras to make sure that you don’t miss any of those all important snaps.
Top compact digital cameras – for the top 10, see Reevoo’s blog Decide What to Buy
1. Sony Cybershot DSC-W130 - £114
2. Casio Exilim EX-Z1200 - £159
3. Sony Cybershot DSC-T9 - £180
The Sony Cybershot DSC-W130 was rated top by genuine purchasers. Owners were particularly impressed with its ease of use and value for money, resulting in the W130 getting the top scores for both these categories.
The Casio Exilim EX-Z1200 came in second place. It had very few negative reviews and its 2.8 inch screen was a hit with reviewers, along with its image quality and range of features.
Sony’s Cybershot DSC-T9 was third, getting the top score in the build quality category. However, it lost marks for its value for money and its range of features.
The top-rated camera was also the cheapest on the list, making the Sony Cybershot DSC-W130 the best all-round device, as rated by consumers. However, for the best build quality, it seems you have to pay a little extra. The Sony Cybershot DSC-T9 topped the build quality category but it was the most expensive camera of the three and one of the most expensive in the top 10.
Reviewers had all bought their cameras from one of Reevoo’s retail partners which include Dixons, Currys, Sainsbury’s, Empire Direct and many more.
