Flexiant evangelists to be joined by speakers from 451 Group, Telx and CloudOrigin in a must attend debate on whether private cloud deployments can deliver benefits

London, UK - 15 January 2013 - As the premier sponsor of Cloud Expo Europe, Flexiant's team of cloud evangelists will be joined by several experts in the cloud computing industry including William Fellows, Vice President, Research - CloudScape, The 451 Group, Joe Weinman, Senior Vice President at Telx and Richard Hall, FBCS FIoD, Chief Executive at CloudOrigin in the must attend keynote session of the event.

During ‘The Ultimate Private vs. Public Cloud Debate' on 29 January 2013 from 14.25-14.55, Alex Bligh, Flexiant's CTO and COO, will explain why he believes most private cloud deployments will never deliver the economic and organisational benefits of cloud computing.  Jim Foley, SVP Market Development, Flexiant, will moderate the session as the panel debates:

The benefits of using cloud service providers

The vulnerabilities of many private cloud implementations

A model for assessing your cloud strategy

The arguments for and against enterprise owned private clouds

The arguments for the use of cloud service providers

About the Panellists
As VP Research, EMEA, William Fellows created and drives 451 Research's early-adopter research program with end users and innovators across a range of vertical markets for the CloudScape service. He has identified and tracked early-adopter markets, including grid computing and virtualization adoption among enterprise users, since 2000; since 2007, the program been principally focused on cloud computing.

Joe Weinman is Senior Vice President, Telx, responsible for leading Telx's fast-growing cloud services business development and strategy. Named a "Top 10 Cloud Computing Leader" by TechTarget, Weinman is a frequent keynote speaker, blogger and the founder of Cloudonomics

Richard Hall, FBCS FIoD, Chief Executive founded CloudOrigin in 2009 to focus on the business impact of cloud computing in public and private sectors, as an independent, pragmatic source of strategy and advisory services on multi-billion dollar deals.  Richard is currently working with blue-chip brands around the world, venture capital, private equity firms and IT suppliers of all sizes.

A serial entrepreneur, Alex Bligh has founded or co-founded several successful technology businesses, including Xara Networks (one of the first UK business-to-business internet service providers), Nominet (the UK internet domain registry) and co-location provider Redbus Interhouse.

Flexiant evangelists will also present three additional sessions during Cloud Expo Europe. These include:

Cloud Service Providers & Ecosystem - Business Theatre
In the Cloud Service Providers & Ecosystem - Business Theatre on 29 January 2013 from 15.35 - 16.00, Tony Lucas, Founder and Product Champion of Flexiant will present a session, ‘Don't Federate - Differentiate.' Much is being made of the potential for smaller cloud service providers to build competitive positioning and reach through a federated model. In this presentation, Tony will explain the pitfalls and difficulties of making the federated approach work. Tony will show that creating differentiated services can often create much faster market traction and a client base that is more defensible than striving for a federated offer.

In the same theatre, Brian Garvey, Director of Distribution & Channels, on 30 January 2013 from 12.40 - 13.05 will present, ‘Growing Your Cloud Services Business through Resellers.'   Because it is now increasingly common for cloud service providers to drive business growth using indirect sales and marketing models, Brian will discuss the common approaches being used, when it makes sense to adopt them and how you can achieve the greatest impact. Brian will also show the critical elements required to make reseller models successful and will provide reseller growth strategy suggestions.

Cloud Service Providers & Ecosystem - Technical Theatre
Lastly, in the Cloud Service Providers & Ecosystem - Technical Theatre, on 30 January 2013 from 11.30 - 11.55, Tony Lucas will also present ‘The Future of Data Centre Automation and the 3 Innovations That Make This Possible.' Tony will, in this session, show how basic data centre automation can have a major impact on operational efficiency and cost as well as a positive impact on the customer experience. Tony will show how cloud orchestration innovations give you the power to automate the data centre, drive extraordinary efficiencies, massively reduce operational costs and risks and remove many customer pain points.

Jim Foley, SVP Market Development, Flexiant said, "The team at Flexiant is well versed in everything cloud. These four sessions will help cloud services providers with ways to differentiate, value added services opportunities and arguments for moving to public cloud. By joining these sessions, attendees will be presented with ways to maximise the investment in cloud while creating a cloud services business customers love."

Sophie Baker, Marketing Manager from Cloud Expo Europe commented; "We are thrilled to have Flexiant at the show this year. Their knowledge and experience within the cloud sphere is sure to be exemplified through the top calibre speakers presenting at the event. The topics being discussed will no doubt draw in the crowds."
