Information security and risk managers gather to debate hot industry topics at Leadenhall Market, London on February 24th
LONDON, February 17th, 2010 –
Acumin Consulting today announced that the next
Risk and Network Threat (RANT) forum will be held in London on Wednesday, February 24th, 2010, with Stephen Bonner, Managing Director of Barclays Information Risk Management as guest speaker.
Bonner will pick the best and worst hacking stories in Hollywood blockbuster movies; and highlight how these fictional portrayals can be applied in real world situations and their relevance to Security Managers, Directors and Chief Information Security Officers.
The forum will be held at The Lamb Tavern in Leadenhall Market, London, from 5:30pm. The event is open to senior
information security professionals within end user organisations.
“In a recent Acumin survey of information security professionals, the majority of respondents (82 per cent) cited
focus groups like RANT to be of most interest to them, compared to exhibitions, conferences and corporate days out” commented Chris Batten, Managing Director, Operations at Acumin Consulting. “Our RANT forums are an ideal, informal place to network with others who work in the industry, share experiences and knowledge and discuss topical issues with peers.”
RANT takes place monthly with a different guest speaker appointed to lead the discussion around a topical issue, followed by the opportunity for further networking. The events are free to attend, with complimentary food and drinks.
