Clinical Solution developer launches Business Change service

26th March 2012 – Ascribe, leading provider of Healthcare IT solutions, is delighted to announce a new key appointment to its Consulting Service Division. Jason Da Costa has been named as Head of Change Management Consulting, this new service will focus on developing additional value benefits and greater stakeholder engagement using IT led Change Management capabilities.

This investment further strengthens Ascribe’s commitment to deliver improved health outcomes and deliver business and clinical performance improvements, whilst reducing customer’s operational costs.

Jason has gained significant IT experience implementing clinical and operational systems within the NHS over the last 20 years. His work has taken him from managing and directing services within the NHS to recent innovative work across Yorkshire and the Humber Trusts, enabling clinical leaders and teams to realise significant benefits, including:

- Reducing waiting times at one Trust from 12 weeks to 2 weeks

- Improving the quality and amount of clinical data and information about the patient by 60% at another Trust

- Increasing the amount of face-to-face patient time for clinicians.

Jason is passionate about supporting Trusts to increase the return on their existing investments, realising additional efficiencies, and delivering additional improvements to patient safety with the integrated IT systems that already exist within the Trusts.

Combining this experience with the broader set of well-resourced services and products, capable of meeting all the Business Intelligence and Consulting needs of UK healthcare organisations, places Ascribe in a unique position to help overcome the challenges facing Health IT customers.

"I am pleased to welcome to the Change Management team to Ascribe. The combination of our clinical systems and existing consulting services expertise with the Change Management team will allow us to strengthen our clinical solution capabilities and show our customers we are focused on supporting their challenges to improve clinical outcomes and reduce operating costs," says Stephen Critchlow, CEO, Ascribe Ltd.

Jason DaCosta added: "I am excited with the opportunities that Change Management services will provide to our healthcare customers. This new initiative supports the company vision of informing care and improving health using evidence-based decision making.  Closer alignment of clinical solutions to the improvement and commissioning agenda is critical as healthcare organisations continue to improve the quality of care they provide from their existing IT investment."
