Oakland, CA – April 04 , 2012 – ADAX, a 30 year veteran providing industry leading high-availability, high-performance Legacy and Packet Processing products, announced today support of its industry-leading HDC3 SS7/I-TDM I/O drivers and cards for Oracle’s SPARC T4 Server line and Oracle’s Sun Blade 6000. Designed for mission-critical applications, Oracle’s SPARC T4 enterprise servers are optimized for Oracle Solaris 11. The Sun Blade 6000 is a flexible, eco-efficient system that enables consolidation of heterogeneous SPARC- and x86-based workloads into a single hardware platform. ADAX drivers offer full binary compatibility with existing applications.

Oracle SPARC T4 servers with Oracle Solaris 11 deliver superior performance and currently hold more than a dozen world records on key application workloads and industry standard benchmarks[1]. ADAX anticipates that its Tier1 telecom and application developer customers will experience a high level of performance on functions essential to the emerging LTE, All-IP network upon which so much of today’s Cloud-driven and virtualized systems rely. Support for Oracle Solaris 10 will also be offered, enabling the transition to Oracle Solaris 11 to be under customer control.

ADAX HDC3 cards cover the full range of server I/O bus formats required by today’s demanding telecom applications. Many SPARC T4 servers are equipped with PCIe low-profile I/O slots and the ADAX HDC3-LPe can operate in SPARC T4 systems that support up to 8 cards in one server. The HDC3-EM card was specifically designed to meet the I/O needs of Sun Blade 6000 users.

As the first fully virtualized operating system, Oracle Solaris 11 provides comprehensive, built-in virtualization capabilities for OS, network and storage resources. Oracle Solaris 11 is also engineered for Oracle VM server virtualization on both x86- and SPARC-based systems, providing deployment flexibility and secure live migration. The ADAX HDC3-LPe and PCIe ExpressModules (EM cards) have also been validated on x86 rack systems and the Oracle Sun Blade 6000 system's T4-1B blade. “ADAX has a long history of offering the telecom industry high-performance on highly-reliable systems. The combination of ADAX HDC3 with Oracle Solaris 11, Oracle SPARC T4 servers, and Oracle Sun Blade 6000 continues that tradition. We are very pleased to be able to offer these solutions to telecom equipment providers and application developers around the world,” Drew Sproul, Director of Marketing, ADAX Inc.

ADAX is a Gold level member of Oracle PartnerNetwork.
