HOW TO GET YOUR WEBSITE INDEXED FASTER IN GOOGLE BY USING THE GOOGLE XML SITEMAP by Peter Lim, CFP ----------------------------------------

Have you ever wished that your website could be indexed and the pages listed in the Google search engine much faster than it has been in the past?

Most webmasters have noticed and lamented that the time taken for indexing a website in Google had invariably been a long wait for most of them. Compared to others, geting a site indexed in the Google search engine has been much longer than the others, so much so that Google has been often called the "slow poke"!

While webmasters have tried a variety of ways to accelerate the process of being indexed in Google, including using the Blog and Ping method, the recent development of the Google XML sitemap has been welcomed warmly.

For once, the release of this Google XML sitemap is seen to be the first of many steps illustrating how Google can work hand in hand with webmasters to get their sites indexed faster. The sitemap allows all the pages in the website to be spidered and a sitemap built and framed in the XML language which is suitable for rss feeds. Google on the one side can understand the structure of the website better through the sitemap and webmasters can get their sites spidered and indexed faster in this way.

Now where can I get some free resources to generate a Google xml sitemap? Already, programmers are welcoming this move by releasing beta versions of Google xml Sitemap generators. Using the software, either personal computer based or server based, it is possible to generate a xml sitemap within minutes.

Here are two sources where you can download a free Google XML Sitemap Generator:

http://www.google.com/webmasters/sitemaps/docs/en/sitemap-generator.html

http://sourceforge.net/projects/goog-sitemapgen/

Once the sitemap is generated, upload it for spidering and you will soon see your site being indexed fast by Google.
