XM and Hyundai offer a Real-Time Traffic Service

XM, the leading provider of satellite radio in the United States (8.5+ million subscribers), has negotiated a deal with Hyundai. Genesis, Hyundai’s new, rear-wheel drive premium sports sedan, will be the first Hyundai brand vehicle to offer the XM NavTraffic real-time traffic service. The service delivers real-time traffic information on issues such as accidents and construction delays via satellite to the vehicle's GPS navigation system, allowing drivers to choose a new route that avoids the problem. XM NavTraffic, powered by NAVTEQ Traffic, is the leading real-time traffic service in the United States that offers coast-to-coast updates every minute. In addition to offering XM NavTraffic, XM Radio will be a standard feature on all Genesis trim levels. Read full story...
