Wizards Transform Network Optimisation Efficiency
SwissQual, the independent Swiss network quality measurement company, has a new range of software packages designed to improve network engineering efficiency. These packages help network engineering teams rapidly analyse, diagnose and correct network problems. The SwissQual Optimisation Wizards are a set of tools that provide a full analysis of the radio links, mobility, voice services and data services throughout a GPRS / UMTS / HSDPA / HSUPA network. This analysis gives network engineers, managers and network executives an ongoing view of the health of the network. It also suggests solutions to ensure the rapid and effective correction of network problems. The range of tools includes Optimisation Wizards for radio analysis, mobility, voice and data services, cell site location and data management.
Says Salvatore Piazzolla, SwissQual’s Head of Product Management: “The Optimisation Wizards contain the distillation of many years of real life experience in network analysis, troubleshooting and optimisation. This is delivered through a range of algorithms and reports which get directly to the root of key issues and suggest solutions. Inexperienced engineers gain the benefits of this experience and can carry out effective troubleshooting without the need for external consulting help. Experienced engineers can use the tool to automatically identify and diagnose common issues boosting their productivity and leaving more time for the resolution of more difficult issues.”
Optimisation Wizards accept data from the complete SwissQual range of data collection probes as well as from other third party products. This allows data to be compiled from a variety of sources to deliver a richer and more detailed view of the network.
Says John May, SwissQual’s CEO: “We have designed the SwissQual range of products to deliver the highest level of long term flexibility and value to our customers. Optimisation Wizards not only help our customers to get more out of their existing investment in SwissQual products, but also out of their investment in other third party data collection probes.”
