Unified Comms - the breach in network security defences

Woking, Surrey: 28th September, 2010 - Wick Hill has been appointed distributor for Sipera, a worldwide leader in unified communications (UC) security. Sipera’s range of solutions provides security for UC applications including VoIP, IP video, videoconferencing, collaboration and messaging, as well as securely enabling UC deployments such as IP-PBX and VLANS, SIP trunking, mobile workspaces and smart phones.

This deal sees Wick Hill building on both its success in security and its expansion into UC, to provide resellers with more solutions for the growing convergence market.

The use of smartphones and other mobile devices is growing rapidly, but it is difficult to regulate and secure these devices, which can put the network at risk. SLiC is Sipera’s comprehensive security and management solution for mobile UC, providing  the same level of security and compliance used for traditional enterprise UC, including centralised security management, encryption, threat protection, and access control.
