DatacenterDynamics Converged 2013 will provide a holistic overview of the rapidly changing IT landscape and its implications for the data centers at the heart of this new world
LONDON – October 11, 2013 – The data center industry is facing a revolution. As organisations move to integrate and virtualise all aspects of their IT infrastructure, multi-device, multi-channel IT systems and software-defined networks demand increasingly high performance data centers. Leading the data center community through this new landscape is the goal of this year’s DatacenterDynamics Converged.
Now in its 12th year, DatacenterDynamics Converged brings together data center professionals from across the industry, including Chief Technology Officers, network and IT managers, consultants, end users and data center owners and operators, as well as selected UK graduates about to start their own careers.
Taking place on the 20 and 21 November at the ExCel Centre in London, the 2013 event will present a unique overview of the evolving IT ecosystem and what the evolving landscape means for the data center industry. With a focus on the disruptive impact of emerging software, integrated IT infrastructure and software-defined networks, alongside the traditional aspects of data center build, operation and management, the agenda offers a truly holistic overview of all issues impacting on today’s data center management.
Over two days, more than 2,000 delegates, 100 world class speakers and 90 exhibitors will share knowledge, insight and experience. This year also sees the introduction of six streamed content tracks, each focusing on an individual element of the data center ecosystem: from new technologies and future trends to outsourcing, infrastructure management and more.
Key speakers include Gerry Pennell, CIO, London 2012 Olympics; Thomas Furlong, VP, Site Operations, Facebook; Christian Belady, GM – Data Center Services, Microsoft; Carl Grivner, CEO, PacNet; Dean Nelson, VP, Global Foundation Services, eBay; George Slessman, CEO and Product Architect, IO Datacenters; and Dr. Jonathan Koomey, Research Fellow, Stanford University.
In line with its commitment to developing knowledge and skills at all levels of the industry, the conference will also include an extended programme of DCProfessional development training courses ‘taster’ sessions, C-suite networking and a new Careers in the Data Center Seminar for future industry leaders.
This year’s Technology Park area of the exhibition will be bigger than ever with the latest data center technology on show, including the easy-to-implement and highly cost-effective modular solution.
