Partnership offers complementary technology that reduces infrastructure requirements and associated costs
London, UK – 11th June, 2013 –Java virtualization and cloud specialists, Waratek, and data distribution specialists Push Technology, today announced a partnership to combine complementary technology. The two Gartner Cool Vendors* in the 2013 Application and Integration Platforms report, will deliver customers the benefit of both Waratek’s ability to deliver multitenant cloud solutions out of the box with Diffusion’s high performance, scalable and real-time data distribution solution.
Push Technology solves the complexity around data distribution by removing redundant data to offer organizations intelligent delivery of real-time data to any device regardless of connectivity or location. This helps to reduce infrastructure requirements while delivering high performance and scalable services to any Internet connected device.
Waratek’s patented technology enables Java applications to take on the characteristics offered by cloud deployment such as elasticity and multitenancy, without any code changes being required of the applications. This unique way of virtualizing Java applications at the software level, increases already virtualized environments even further. Enterprise architects deploy Waratek to increase the density of their applications, reducing their server footprint and cutting costs, whether this is on premise or outsourced.
“This partnership with Waratek plays to the strengths of both companies as we help organizations cut infrastructure expenditure,” said Sean Bowen, CEO, Push Technology. “Running Push Technology’s Diffusion platform on Waratek’s CloudVM for Java will provide customers with solutions that make efficient use of infrastructure and multitenancy while delivering the benefits of scalable and high performance data distribution.”
“The Waratek CloudVM for Java takes care of the isolation, multitenancy and high density aspect of scalable deployment, not just across a single machine but across the cloud,” says John Matthew Holt, founder and CTO of Waratek. “At Waratek, we strive to deliver cool and cutting edge, cost effective solutions and Push Technology will help us fulfill that promise.”
As highlighted in the Gartner “Cool Vendor” in the Application and Integration, 2013 key findings, “Cloud, mobile and open-source business models, and user demand for scalable, standards based and highly productive solutions are driving technology evolution in this market.”
