Dublin, 07 August 2013: Vodafone Ireland today launched its new high speed Mobile WiFi device[1]. Exclusive to Vodafone, the new device provides the fastest Mobile WiFi speeds in the Irish market. On the fastest network for data[2], Vodafone Mobile WiFi now enables businesses to seamlessly work on the move or even set up a pop-up office while remaining constantly connected through high speed mobile broadband.
With 89%[3] of Irish businesses already using mobile data, this new Mobile WiFi device will deliver the bandwidth required by business to carry out work anywhere as if they were in the office. This is driven by the desire of businesses to move to a new way of working that provides greater flexibility to employees while maintaining and improving customer engagement.
Business customers will experience download speeds of up to four times faster than standard mobile broadband, dependent on the price plan selected[4].
Vodafone Mobile WiFi provides businesses with:
A fast, reliable and easy to operate Mobile WiFi hub
The opportunity to connect up to 10 users at any one time
Two great value data packages to choose from depending on specific business needs
The fastest network for data with download speeds up to four times faster than standard mobile broadband
Laura Conlon-McKenna, Business Data Manager, Vodafone Ireland said, “With our on-going network investment which includes nationwide network upgrades, along with the launch of this new high speed device, businesses can now take advantage of the fastest Mobile WiFi speeds available in the Irish market. We know that a lot of our customers already use mobile broadband but with the portable WiFi, they can now easily create small mobile offices in any location where they want to work. We’ve received a great response from customers - some have already created mobile offices and launched truly innovative services. As a result they are experiencing increased productivity and new revenue streams.”
Cork Taxi Co-Op, a leading provider of taxi and taxi courier services in Cork City and county, has based its business on a unique model to ensure customers get a quality service while opening up new revenue opportunities.
Commenting on the use of Mobile WiFi in his business, Alan O’Shea, Cork Taxi Co-Op said, “We believe investing in our business is critical to ensuring we have the latest technology in our taxis and our dispatch centres. Given the nature of our business, we need to be incredibly responsive to customers. We have used Mobile WiFi to establish mobile dispatch centres with devices in a number of our fleet. This level of connectivity allows us to provide a WiFi service in the taxi but also stream information or advertising content to devices at the back of headrests. This has helped us to become Cork’s largest, fastest and most efficient taxi service.”
