MYCOM NIMS-PrOptima™ wins on scalability and performance

Mobile World Congress, Barcelona, Spain - 25 February 2013 – MYCOM, the leading independent provider of carrier-grade Service and Network Performance solutions, today announced that its NIMS-PrOptima™ performance management solution has been selected by Vodafone India for managing the 2G and 3G Mobile RAN, Mobile Circuit, Packet Core and Value Added Service domains of its national network of over 150 million subscribers.

The multi-million dollar contract covers Vodafone India’s Mobile and Fixed networks with MYCOM’s NIMS-PrOptima™ solution being implemented in its Super NOC (Network Operations Centre) for the primary purposes of providing performance reports, analysis, end-to-end optimization, capacity management, automatic performance alarming and automation across all network domains and technologies.

Vodafone India selected MYCOM after successful completion of a comprehensive tender process and live evaluation.

“Vodafone’s commitment to delivering the best network quality and customer experience is second to none. Having a single performance management solution that spans across the entire network infrastructure supporting our 150 million subscribers is a critical requirement for us,” commented Vishant Vora, Director Technology , Vodafone India, “MYCOM’s NIMS-PrOptima™ will give us the ability to efficiently manage our entire network end-to-end, speed up the integration of new equipment and technologies, and also give us great flexibility in our use of network information to the benefit of our subscribers.”

MYCOM’s NIMS-PrOptima™ network performance solution provides out-of-the-box support for multiple technologies, domains and equipment vendors across access, backhaul, core and service networks. It processes very large volumes of performance, configuration and services data in near real-time, has advanced correlation, analysis, reporting and visualization modules, and is highly flexible via automation, workflow and customization capabilities.

“Vodafone India is a signature customer for MYCOM as the size of the deployment means that only a truly carrier-grade network performance vendor will be able to meet the scalability requirements,” commented Payam Taaghol, EMEA MD, MYCOM, “We are proud of working with Vodafone India, an outstanding company with an impressive engineering and management team and by far with one of the most aggressive voice and data growth plans in the world today.”
