Armenia’s leading mobile operator sees remarkable improvement through TCP/IP acceleration

Zurich, Switzerland & Mobile World Congress, Barcelona – February 24, 2014: VivaCell-MTS Armenia has deployed Sambal, the cutting edge TCP/IP mobile broadband acceleration solution from Teclo Networks to enhance the speed of the mobile internet for its subscribers. Thanks to Sambal, the Armenian operator has already boosted network speeds remarkably and reduced retransmissions by over 10 percent, resulting in faster internet for customers across the network.

As TCP/IP, the basic communications protocol of the internet, was traditionally built for fixed-lines the rate in which data is transferred over mobile networks can be slow. Teclo Networks’ unique network optimization solution uses TCP/IP acceleration to reduce the impact of packet loss and reduces latency without caching or compressing the data to enable high-speed downloads and fast mobile internet browsing. Whilst easing network congestion Sambal, which has a tiny hardware footprint, helps VivaCell deliver unrivalled wireless internet access, providing subscribers with the best mobile internet experience possible.

“Being Armenia’s leading Telecommunication Operator, VivaCell-MTS always joins hands with partners like Sambal to help maintain that position” stated VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian.  He added “Sambal is robust and the engineers from Teclo have always been flexible to meet our needs. Their expertise has been valuable. With partners like Teclo Networks, we can continue to offer unrivalled voice, messaging and 3G services.”

Jane Walerud, CEO of Teclo Networks said: “Our customers and prospects can rely on us for outstanding mobile internet solutions and importantly, they see us as partners who are always ready to provide support 24/7. We work very closely with all our clients and for VivaCell-MTS, we were able to respond to their enquiries, assess their needs and deploy Sambal in under a month.  We understand that each operator has individual needs and we have the flexibility to provide a customized solution to meet even the tightest of timescales.”

Teclo Networks will be showcasing its flagship TCP/IP acceleration product, Sambal, at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. To meet an expert or to see a demonstration visit Hall 5 Stand 5G23.
