UKSolutions, one of the UK’s largest privately owned data centre providers today announced its continued partnership with Shropshire based online training provider, Reach Internet. The company has moved its in-house data provision to UKSolutions’ tier IV specification data centre in Studley to significantly increase performance levels by achieving a 100 per cent uptime on service level agreements (SLA).
Reach Internet provides customers with the latest technology and operating platforms to enhance their own networks and systems. Although Reach Internet was only established in 2009, its chief executives draw on more than twenty years of experience in the IT industry - as a fully functioning ISP, Reach Internet provides everything from simple domain name registrations and maintenance, through to co-location and fully managed IT services.
Harmohan Sood, head of IT, at Reach Internet commented: “We provide online training services to customers in a sector where high levels of performance are not only expected, but are also a necessity if they are to compete. It is no coincidence that uptime and performance were the two most important factors we looked for in an outsourcing partner.”
Harmohan added: “Previously, at Reach Internet, we had stored our mission critical data in-house, but our rapidly growing customer base meant that it was no longer practical for us to maintain this internal infrastructure and to manage such a high volume of data internally. Driven primarily by efficiency with the need to comply with competitive SLAs and secondarily by cost motivations, we decided to look for a hosting partner.
Being located close to Birmingham we found the UKSolutions Studley facility not only perfectly positioned geographically, but a highly professional outfit capable of meeting both Reach Internet’s and our customers’ needs. From high resilience fibre channels to 100 per cent uptime on SLAs, UKSolutions provided us with the support and expertise we required from an out sourcing partner.”
Daniel Lowe, founder and managing director of UKSolutions said: “Proximity and reliability are two key factors which not only Reach Internet but a number of other customers have found important. Our geographical location in the Midlands means we can achieve super high speed connectivity, thanks to our proximity to IBM’s data centre in Warwickshire and an abundance of space to expand into - a luxury not often available to the heavyweight providers in London.”
Daniel concluded: “At UKSolutions we stand for efficiency, reliability and first class service provision and it is no surprise that a company like Reach Internet, which shares our credos so closely, chose to partner with us - we look forward to being a key part of their expansion plans for many years to come.”
