Showcasing companies that are ‘disrupting business as usual’, Innoverne comes second in ‘Circular Economy Digital Disruptor’ category, becoming the sole representative from the United Kingdom to win award
READING, United Kingdom – 21st January, 2015 – Innoverne Limited, the Circular Commerce specialists, today announced that it has been named runner-up in the ‘Circular Economy Digital Disruptor’ category of the 2015 Circular Economy awards.
The award scheme, an initiative of The Forum of Young Global Leaders (YGL) and led by Accenture, is an annual event recognising individuals and enterprises from commerce, civil society and academia that have made a notable contribution to driving circular economy principles.
“Innoverne has demonstrated how it is able to decouple revenue growth from scarce resource use, allowing its customers to increase revenues and their level of service within natural resource limits, all whilst enabling customers to ‘do more with less’”, said Peter Lacy, Co-chair, World Economic Forum Young Leader Taskforce & Managing Director, Sustainability Services, Accenture.
Businesses are embracing a new era of commerce where they must facilitate ‘access’ to products as opposed to relying on linear ‘ownership’ models to fuel revenue growth. The 2015 Circular Economy Awards showcases those businesses that offer innovative, viable and scalable alternatives to traditional linear business models.
“Everyone at Innoverne is delighted to be recognised in the inaugural 2015 Circular Economy Awards,” said Chris Hoskin, Innoverne’s Chief Marketing Officer. “Whilst the principals of a Circular Economy aren’t new, genuine real-world application of circular business models are really only just beginning to emerge and we are delighted to be acknowledged for the innovative closed-loop programmes and solutions we deliver.”
Innoverne is the sole representative from the United Kingdom to win a 2015 Circular Economy award.
Winners and runners-up awards were unveiled at the World Economic Forum event in Davos, Switzerland on the 20th January 2015.
