London, UK - October 5, 2010: Tribold, the world’s leading provider of Enterprise Product Management (EPM) software specifically developed for Communication Service Providers (CSPs), has been evaluated in the much anticipated Gartner September 2010 report: ‘Competitive Landscape: Evolution of Integrated Product Catalog and Service Catalog Management Solutions, Worldwide’ - a comprehensive analysis of leading vendors and the business drivers for carrier adoption.

The report examines seven vendors, including Tribold, offering due diligence guidance for carriers sourcing decisions. The report articulates the problems carriers face today around product and service catalog adoption and outlines the business and technical drivers and benefits of adoption for Enterprise Product & Service Management.

Three main reasons are identified for driving product catalog adoption:
-          Competitive pressure for carriers to deliver new services to new markets quicker, often in partnerships or syndication schemas.
-          Complex product life cycle management, especially for the mobile domain, with diverse products delivered to diverse customer segments, complex discounts schemas — that all call for centralized product life cycle management closely related to the actual network capabilities and the service configurations representing them.
-          Cost Reduction and revenue enhancement - with the continuing pressure to lower operational expenditure and increase revenues CSP's must instigate the adoption of more lithe, innovative operational product and service creation tools

Catherine Michel, Tribold’s CTO, commented: "Gartner recognises the maturing nature of this segment and this report is a valuable resource for CSPs considering an investment in Product/Service Management.”  Michel continued: "It is great to see the validation of the Tribold team’s industry leading expertise and our determined focus on rapid delivery and TCO reduction.” Michel: concluded: “I’m personally very proud to see the Tribold EPM product recognized as THE best of breed vendor in the market".
