London, UK, 20th September 2011 – Tribold EPM Release 5 has been certified conformant to TM Forum’s Business Process Framework (eTOM) which is a major component of TM Forum’s Frameworx suite of standards. Certification of the software solution’s conformance to Business Process Framework version 8.0 affirms Tribold’s commitment to standards. By implementing standards-based solutions Tribold facilitates a host of benefits for Communications Service Providers (CSPs).
TM Forum’s Frameworx is a comprehensive suite of standards that enable a service provider’s business to run with maximum agility, simplicity, and efficiency. Frameworx provides the blueprint for effective operations, enabling service providers to assess and improve business performance by using a proven, service-oriented approach to operations and integration.
Frameworx Product and Solution Conformance Assessments enable suppliers and service providers to verify a product or solution’s conformance to the Frameworx Business Process and Information models. Through an independent and thorough analysis of a supplier’s self-assessment, the Forum scores adherence to each model on a sliding scale and publishes a report detailing the product or solution’s level of conformance.
Service provider benefits of Tribold EPM’s conformance to Business Process Framework standards include:
Saving time and money on business process projects by using processes already defined and implemented by service providers
Reducing operational and procurement costs by using standard terminology and classification schemes to describe business processes
Decreasing time to market by using well-defined processes
Reducing costs and enabling seamless integration between operations and IT through use of embedded ITIL best practices
Catherine Michel, Tribold founder and CTO, commented: “CSPs’ software purchasing decisions increasingly demand completion of TM Forum Frameworx Product and Solution Conformance Assessments. Tribold EPM’s certification assessment against Business Process Framework, along with Tribold EPM’s existing TM Forum Information Framework (SID) conformance assessment, strengthens our market position as the leading product management solution for the industry.”
Keith Willetts, TM Forum Chairman, added: “As the need for efficient and effective business processes become ever more critical to delivering innovative services quickly at the least possible cost, service providers are increasingly using Frameworx conformance as an important distinguishing feature between available software solutions. The TM Forum Conformance Mark reflects Tribold’s commitment to standards and interoperability and provides reassurance to customers who are seeking standards-based, cost-effective, flexible solutions.”
