The Bunker Secure Hosting Ltd, provider of Ultra* Secure Data Centres and Managed Services, has announced that Trans Data Management Ltd (TDM) has chosen The Bunker to host AlarmLink, an integrated alarm signalling and management system.

TDM is a systems integrator specialising in data and telecom-based security and communications solutions. AlarmLink, which is new to the UK market, is an IP-based alarm signalling system that provides a reliable and cost-effective alarm transmission solution that can monitor and manage multiple emergency and technical alarms under one system.

In order to support and develop the AlarmLink system, TDM worked closely with its Swiss partner, Ascom, an international solutions provider.  The Bunker was approached to host the environment bringing the client, application and hosting provider elements together and completing the tripartite relationship.

Geoff Vaughan, Managing Director at TDM, commented, "It was absolutely vital that TDM found a professional "high security" hosting partner in which to locate our AlarmLink servers. These servers form the heart of a new security system that will provide protection for a range of customers including banks, infrastructure operators and city institutions, so only the best facilities will suffice. From day one, we found The Bunker to be fast, friendly and flexible."

Additionally as developers of the IP-based Alarm Signalling system, Ascom worked closely with The Bunker to ensure a smooth rollout of the application. Fabio La Mattina at Ascom commented, "The UK market is very future-oriented and open-minded for new concepts and services. Therefore, we have committed ourselves to supporting TDM in launching a very competitive service offering, based on an infrastructure with strong security. The Bunker delivers exactly what we were looking for: a strong and reliable infrastructure, based on state-of-the-art technology, which guarantees very high availability."

Paul Lightfoot, Chief Technology Officer at The Bunker, said, "The growing need for organisations to be able to monitor multiple alarm systems and guarantee the uninterrupted flow of business critical information is immense and we are delighted to be working with TDM on this exciting project. We have built a highly available, secure and scalable infrastructure that will accommodate future growth and we hope to develop our partnership with both TDM and Ascom in the future."
