Tquila, a Salesforce Platinum Partner, has hired the former Public Sector Liaison Director at PSNGB, Neil Bacon, for a newly created position as Head of Public Sector.
Neil has worked on one of the biggest ever government IT programmes and brings with him 15 years of experience in the industry. His appointment will mean Tquila can provide specialist services to organisations that operate in the public sector.
Mark Wakelin, CEO at Tquila, said: “It’s a priority for Tquila to provide services that help customers reach their goals and to do that we need to be able to understand their business and industry. Having Neil join an already strong team will bring further valuable public sector experience and help us offer the best solutions to customers.”
Neil Bacon said: “Being appointed Head of Public Sector at a time of such significant transformation is a great opportunity. As Public Sector organisations continue to embrace cloud computing and make immense shifts in the way they serve their citizens, Tquila and Salesforce.com are in a unique position to aid innovative change using the cloud.
In March 2011, the government aimed to shift 50 percent of new government IT spending to cloud based services. With Cloud First being established, meaning central government must purchase IT through the cloud, the transformational nature of cloud services is quickly being realised.”
