San Francisco, CA and Cagliari, Italy – 5th October 2010 – Tiscali, one of the main independent Telecommunication companies in Italy selected Scality and its object-based RING storage platform to develop its own public cloud service platform in Italy.

Scality RING is an object-based storage software infrastructure that enables Mail Service Provider, Hosted Services providers and Telco companies to offer the high performance of a storage area network with the cost savings and scalability of the cloud.

Scality's technology will allow Tiscali to manage a storage pool with unlimited capacity, sure in the knowledge that data is completely load-balanced and replicated so that, when a drive or a whole machine fails – for whatever reason – the data integrity of the storage pool remains intact.
