The Bunker, provider of Ultra* Secure
Data Centre and
Managed Services, has been named as one of Britain’s most successful technology businesses in the
2010 Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track 100. The Tech Track 100 ranks Britain’s fastest-growing private technology companies.
The report, published on Sunday 19th September 2010, positions The Bunker as the 48th fastest growing UK technology company, based on significant sales growth over a three-year period.
Headquartered in Ash, Kent, The Bunker is the provider of Europe’s most secure data centres, which are housed in ex-military facilities. It is fully
ISO 27001 and
PCI DSS accredited, and has recently achieved planning permission for
The Bunker², a new 12,000m², high-specification, carrier-neutral London contingency data centre on its existing site in Kent.
The Bunker’s growth is due in part to supporting the specific needs of the market. The fact that several of The Bunker’s clients are also featured in the top 100 ranking is testament to this strategy, including:
Moneybookers, one of the market leaders in online payments (number 12);
Kaspersky Lab, one the worlds’ top four leading IT security software vendors (number 18); and
Jellyfish, the UK's Leading PPC Agency Dedicated to Paid Search (number 35) .
Peregrine Newton, CEO at The Bunker, commented, “Our impressive client list reinforces The Bunker’s proposition that by outsourcing your IT and hosting requirements to a contemporary data centre provider, you allow your company to grow rapidly by freeing resources and budget from the IT department.”
He added, “We are delighted to be featured in the Tech Track 100 and to have played a small part in helping some of our customers to also feature on the list. This achievement comes at a very exciting time for The Bunker. We have recently launched our Secure Hybrid Cloud service, which offers the flexibility of cloud computing with the ultra security that only The Bunker can provide – this is in line with the market’s requirements for cloud computing as highlighted in the Tech Track listing.
“Alongside this, we have also received planning permission for a new high spec data centre in Kent, and extended out ISO27001 accreditation to cover both of our data centres. The Bunker is committed to providing our existing and future clients with cutting-edge solutions from the most secure data centre facility in Europe.”
