The Bluetooth SIG Announces Global Events Series, Sets Date for Bluetooth World 2014
Product Innovators, Developers, Analysts and Media Are Invited to Explore the Possibilities Enabled By Bluetooth Technology
Kirkland, Washington October 24, 2013 The Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) set dates for Bluetooth World 2014 bringing the yearly industry event to San Jose, California, April 8 9, for 2014. Bluetooth Asia will be held in Shanghai, China, August 19 20, 2014 and Bluetooth Europe will be held in Amsterdam, Netherlands, September 16 17, 2014. This extended event series from the Bluetooth SIG brings together those building and creating the Internet of Things with Bluetooth Smart. Developers, OEMs, media and analysts, along with current and prospective Bluetooth SIG members, will inspire, empower, and teach one another on the bright future of Bluetooth wireless technology.
The Internet of Things is here, now. Bluetooth Smart has brought it to life. We developed Bluetooth World to bring the industry together and to further the innovation enabled by Bluetooth Smart, said Suke Jawanda, Bluetooth SIG CMO. The response to our inaugural event in Shanghai earlier this year blew us away, so we are expanding our footprint in 2014, adding events in North America and Europe. These will be the must-attend wireless events of the year if you are thinking wireless or IoT you need to be here.
All Bluetooth 2014 events will focus on continuing the conversation around the Internet of Things for the wide-range of industries embracing Bluetooth Smart, including health and fitness, automotive, industrial and home automation, and consumer electronics.
The Bluetooth SIG, along with event partner Informa, will open the call for speakers for Bluetooth World 2014 shortly. Additionally, sponsorship and exhibition sales are now open. For more information on Bluetooth World speaking and exhibition opportunities, visit

We look forward to a successful relationship with the SIG and helping them accelerate the deployment of the IoT.
