10 October 2011, Reading – TestWave, the full-service, cloud-based test management tool launched last month by Automation Consultants, now integrates with HP’s test automation programme, QuickTest Pro (QTP). The integration allows testers to store QTP scripts in TestWave.
The integration enables colleagues to access QTP scripts and results from anywhere in the world. Additionally, QTP tests can be run in large numbers directly from TestWave, eliminating the need to start up QTP, and the results are returned to and stored in TestWave, where they can be statistically analysed across multiple test runs, and viewed without the need to have QTP installed.

Francis Miers, TestWave Director at Automation Consultants, comments: “Integration of TestWave and QTP allows users to maximise the benefits of QTP by organising and storing QTP scripts and results. Without such integration, the benefits of test automation can be wasted through lost scripts, lost results and lengthy manual processes to organise and launch tests.”
TestWave, which was developed by Automation Consultants, makes managing the testing of an IT system easier by enabling teams to store test scripts, analyse results, and record and track defects. Test managers can monitor progress in real time through intuitive dashboards, and map the testing to releases and requirements.
The software is priced at £75 per user per month, and instantly accessible through a web browser, making it both affordable and easy to use. It is designed for managing testing in software development projects or major changes to existing systems such as infrastructure upgrades and migrations.
TestWave is built on Automation Consultants’ own platform, Xappworks, which allows users to code in the cloud.
