Spigraph International Group has finalised its acquisition of 100% of the shares in Dicom International group, based in Kriens, Switzerland.
Already leaders in their respective markets of document capture and processing technology, Dicom and Spigraph are bringing together their extensive networks, which cover more than 20 countries through more than 6,000 resellers. The merger gives rise to the biggest Value Added Distributor (VAD) in the EMEA document capture market.
Daniel Chautard, Chairman of Spigraph International, commented, “Together, we make the perfect team to help businesses deal with the challenges of constantly evolving technologies. More than ever, companies need a partner that can assist them with the capture and management of information -- whether it is paper or web-based, or involves mobility or cloud services. Our mission is to offer top quality products, technical expertise and advice. We are committed to working with our customers from the beginning through to implementation, with a focus on achieving ROI.”
The new group will offer some of the biggest scanner manufacturers and software publishers with the opportunity to provide a comprehensive suite of products the opportunity to grow their market share. The new VAD will optimise product ranges and will provide its customers with the high standard of marketing and sales support expected from a market leader.
In addition, Dicom/Spigraph Group customers and partners will have access to a wider range of professional products services and expertise than ever before. The newly merged organisation now employs over 400 people and has a combined turnover of €130 million. It aims to provide:
efficient sales and logistics operations based on tried and tested processes;
the highest level of document capture expertise and advice;
implementation and integration of software solutions in complex environments
efficient training, maintenance and support services; and
development-driven R&D, guaranteeing the provision of the latest technologies.
Joe Froning, CEO of Dicom International, added, “Even though our companies have always worked in the same markets, the geographic and functional areas that we cover have rarely overlapped. This merger therefore creates a unity between our complementary offerings. For our customers, it is synonymous with a more comprehensive, professional product range and a guarantee of a truly reliable service. The new Group, driven by innovation and new business opportunities, will support the growth of our customers and partners in the document capture market. I am very happy to be part of this new adventure, in which two superb teams will be combining their talents to offer the finest customer experience possible.”
As a result of the merger, Wayne Davey, previously CEO of Spigraph, will become CEO of the group. Joachim Froning, previously CEO at Dicom, will take on the role of senior vice president of Dicom/Spigraph Distribution.
The group’s head office will remain in Spigraph’s headquarters in Saint-Quentin-Fallavier (38) in France.
