Legendary Swimwear Company Finds Success Expanding on New E-commerce Channels

London, UK; 12 July 2011 – ChannelAdvisor, a global e-commerce platform provider that enables retailers to sell more across online channels, today announced that Speedo International Ltd is using its Premium Marketplaces solution to draw new customers and drive brand visibility. Speedo is the world’s leading swimwear brand, distributing products to more than 170 countries worldwide. ChannelAdvisor’s Marketplaces solution has opened up a new channel for the swimwear giant, defining it as an online brand and strengthening its online presence and business.

Speedo joins an impressive list of global retailers powered by ChannelAdvisor’s award-winning technology, which includes some of the largest, most successful retail brands such as Dell, JD Williams, Kitbag, Crocs, Laura Ashley, Victoria's Secret, Under Armour and more.

“We had no prior experience with the eBay marketplace and knew we had to proceed carefully to maintain the integrity of our brand and our overall sales experience,” said Speedo Head of E-commerce Paul McDermott. “ChannelAdvisor made it easy. They walked us through each step of the process and continue to make sure we have the tools and know-how we need to succeed. They’re helping us build a strong online brand and grow as a force in the e-commerce world.”

During the ramp-up period ChannelAdvisor worked with Speedo, making the launch process efficient and smooth. ChannelAdvisor’s Guided Services team provided support to constantly improve performance and ensure that the necessary eBay strategies were in place for Speedo to manage the channel most effectively.

ChannelAdvisor’s Marketplaces solution automates many of the day-to-day processes involved in using eBay and also helps manage inventory more successfully. Speedo has regular stock updates and seasonal changes, which are very time consuming without ChannelAdvisor’s expert technology.
