SAN JOSE, CA - April 4, 2014 - Smartlogic's co-founder and senior vice president, Toby Conrad will be a keynote speaker at MarkLogic World's kickoff event in San Francisco on April 7.
Conrad's presentation will focus on how Semaphore, Smartlogic's content intelligence software platform, adds a semantic layer to MarkLogic implementations. "Semaphore's semantic capabilities lets users really leverage their content across platforms and applications," Conrad said. "Rich metadata adds the ability to dig into text and find business insights buried within it."
Smartlogic is a platinum sponsor of MarkLogic World Tour 2014 and will have representatives at each event to talk with MarkLogic users about how the two technologies work together. "The Smartlogic-MarkLogic partnership is a natural fit," said Jeremy Bentley, Smartlogic CEO. "Our software's auto-classification ability adds tags to content that help users make the most of MarkLogic's semantic capabilities."
Specifically, Conrad will talk about how Semaphore enables the rapid development of ontologies and performs semantic analysis to describe and extract information from content of all types and sources. Semaphore creates comprehensive and accurate resource descriptors and those feed MarkLogic's native semantic and search capabilities. Semaphore enriches the MarkLogic knowledge graph so that solutions based on it can be deployed far more rapidly - gaining agility with how enterprises use data and deliver the information users need to be more efficient and informed. He will also talk about how Smartlogic's customers are improving the flow of information across multiple systems, supporting improved analytics and combining Big Data from numerous sources to identify the most likely resolution to customer or product issues.
The theme of MarkLogic World is "reimagine," which Smartlogic exemplifies by helping enterprises reimagine how they can discover and distill the value from unstructured text of all types and stored across data silos.
MarkLogic World is a seven-city event that brings together MarkLogic's clients, partners and experts in the database world for training, hands on experience and networking. Smartlogic invites you to join them in San Francisco, Amsterdam, London, New York, Chicago, Washington, D.C., or Baltimore to meet with Smartlogic's experts and hear how to develop a rich semantic layer to boost MarkLogic's native capabilities.
