Streamezzo’s Mobile Development Platform Chosen for its Advanced End-User Experience and Extended Device Coverage
Paris, France, 16th March, 2009 – Streamezzo announced that Samsung, the global leader in semiconductor, telecommunication, digital media and digital convergence technologies, has selected Streamezzo’s software products and professional services to develop, deploy and run its Rich Internet mobile portal.
Samsung Rich Internet application, natively embedded on multiple Samsung devices, allows subscribers to access to a large variety of free and premium services such as news, ringtones, music, video-on-demand, and games. Special announcements or latest news from Samsung are also directly accessible from this portal. The service offering is continuously extended and provisioned over the air, without requiring any software upgrade on the devices.
Samsung’s primary goal was to leverage the intuitive rich features enabled by Streamezzo’s technology to increase its brand’s notoriety, to encourage the usage of its mobile services as well as to accelerate their deployments on the largest range of devices. Already certified on hundreds of handsets and compatible with all mobile operating system, Streamezzo’s Mobile Open Development Platform was the natural choice to create the Samsung Rich Internet applications with a compelling and intuitive user interface.
