19th January 2011, Bromsgrove - Local government organisations across the UK are taking positive action to improve GIS efficiency by signing up to attend a series of regional breakfast briefings hosted by Dotted Eyes.
Facing huge funding cuts and organisational change, many GIS teams within local government are looking for new ways to maximise their productivity but also maintain quality of services. With skilled analysts in short supply, workloads consisting of both complex and more repetitive tasks are increasing, causing bottlenecks in supplying services where they are needed. Dotted Eyes has recognised this problem and invited those looking for new ideas to join them for a complimentary breakfast briefing at venues around the country. These dynamic briefings consist of a number of specialist presentations tailored to help local government departments make better use of their GIS applications.
Topics for discussion will include; ‘The Power of Location’, ‘Delivering services at a fixed price’ and ‘Reducing the cost of GIS’, in addition to some real world examples of how organisations have already benefited.
Commercial Director, Patrick Costello stated, “Local government departments are facing increasing pressure to reduce costs where sometimes staff numbers are already at a minimum. We can provide practical solutions, designed to be implemented immediately, which address these problems.”
The road show starts in Birmingham on 27th January, followed by Leeds, London and Swansea. For more information, visit
