Perforce Software Announces New Partner Strategy
« Posted: June 01, 2011, 09:20:40 PM »

1st June 2011, Wokingham - Perforce Software has announced the launch of a new international partner strategy that will see it deliver its products and services through in-country specialists in key markets. Building on existing partnerships across the world, the new strategy is designed to address the changing nature of collaborative development and to gain a better understanding of the issues customers face at a local level.

According to Jim Duggan, vice president of research at Gartner, Inc., “The chain of collaborating teams that add value to development projects is getting longer, globally distributed, and more sophisticated. These teams regularly deal in massive volumes of digital content: not just source code, but documents, web material, and unstructured data too. For many organizations, keeping track of this complex, multi-faceted working environment is becoming costly and demanding to manage.”

Perforce Software has recently added new partners in Europe, Middle East and Asia to align more closely with its customers in these regions.

Says Dave Robertson, VP International at Perforce Software, “Almost 40% of our business is outside of North America. By working with best-in-market partners, we can ensure that all our customers can obtain Perforce Software products and services from a trusted source in key local markets, and augment our existing and extensive experience in helping our customers manage sophisticated development projects.”

“The partner strategy is an important part of achieving our vision to provide the best version management platform for the world’s most innovative development organizations,” says Christopher Seiwald, Founder and CEO of Perforce Software. “Our customers represent some of the leading names in the technology world.  Relentlessly innovative, they are continually adapting how they work in order to bring their ideas to market quickly. Global collaboration between teams of developers in tens, sometimes hundreds, of distributed locations is common.”

Perforce will launch the partner strategy at the Perforce User Conference, being held in San Francisco 1-3 June 2011.
