Oscar Music & Media Selects Interxion’s Content Hub to Host Its Connected Media Platform Services

carrier-neutral colocation data centre services, today announced that it has been selected to host the connected media platform services of digital music company Oscar Music & Media in the Content Hub of its City of London data centre.
With the digital music industry worth $4.6 billion in 2010 (International Federation of the Phonographic Industry) worldwide and further growth expected this year, Oscar Music & Media provides a platform that allows organisations across the ecosystem to manage their metadata and package and deliver millions of music files to this burgeoning sector of the market. These companies vary from developers of bundled music services for ISPs to a music catalogue management business representing 200 record labels worldwide.
Interxion's Content Hubs provide seamless power, space and access to all relevant network service providers that are required for the distribution of content. Connected media platform providers such as Oscar Music can obtain direct access to all necessary distribution networks for the optimised delivery and performance of digital media content to end users, including tier 1 ISPs, Internet Exchanges and CDNs.
