The leading standards organisation for mobile service enablers, the Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) today announced that it will be exhibiting for the first time at Mobile Asia Expo, June 11 to 13, at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre in Shanghai, booth N2.D64.  There will be a number of demonstrations featured at their booth that bring together all areas of the mobile ecosystem and showcase unique future mobile concepts that show how open specifications play a part in the next generation of mobile services.

Attendees to Mobile Asia Expo can expect to get exclusive insight into how the OMA and its member companies are enabling broader adoption and delivering open specifications for the Internet of Everything.  Exciting hands-on demonstrations will come from OMA members such as Red Bend Software, Friendly Technologies, Gemalto, ZTE, CSR and Comverse. These industry experts will cover hot topics such as M2M, BYOD, Automotive Telematics and Location-based Services (LBS).

"Asia Pacific is the fastest growing region within the global economy, and it is important that we demonstrate how open specifications can help the mobile value chain within Asia create international interoperable mobile services," said Seth Newberry, General Manager of the Open Mobile Alliance.  "OMA specifications have been supporting mobile networks and billions of mobile terminals for a number of years now, and as many companies in Asia are expanding their reach globally, this is the perfect time for them to explore how OMA can help them reach their corporate goals."

OMA is internationally recognized as the leading industry forum for developing market driven, interoperable mobile service enablers. Through its participation at Mobile Asia Expo, OMA wants to demonstrate how OMA Enablers help current members develop products and services with the widest possible global reach, as well as meet companies in Asia that would like to explore how they can use OMA specifications to help ensure international interoperability.

The OMA and its members companies will be exhibiting at booth N2.D64 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre in Shanghai from 11 to 13 June. To arrange a press interview or meeting with the OMA please contact [email protected]
