London, UK – February 21st, 2013: Ontology Systems, the semantic search company for structured enterprise application data, is set to lift the covers on a forthcoming major release of the Ontology semantic search platform. Visitors to Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next week will get a sneak preview of Project Rothko to see how businesses will be able to search and centralise applications, databases, files, spread sheets and ad-hoc data from anywhere across the enterprise; without the cost and risk of integration.
“The term ‘paradigm shift’ may be well worn, but it’s completely on the mark for our ground breaking technology.” said Benedict Enweani, CEO and founder of Ontology Systems.
"Since launching the Ontology platform in 2008, we have applied the power of semantic search to the telecoms industry’s multivendor network, OSS and BSS estates providing 360° end-to-end views of customers, services and topology for customer care, change management, service management and network operation’s teams using our Intelligent 360 product. We have also applied our semantic search to speed-up and de-risk migration projects and to maintain the data integrity and correlation of multiple applications and information hubs using Ontology Integrity Manager. We have been able to deliver these solutions very quickly and at a fraction of the expected cost.
“With Project Rothko we extend Ontology’s reach further into the data estates of any enterprise, in any industry. Internet search engines made it easy to search the unstructured text of web sites. Enterprise search made it easy to search the unstructured text of distributed company documents. So, what about all of the structured application data that exists in an enterprise? Rothko speeds enterprise data integration by applying the power, simplicity, and speed of search across enterprise data sources, including complex structured applications, databases, files, spread sheets and ad-hoc data. The goal is to fix misalignments, uncover dependencies, track impacts and visualize the big picture, all from a single point, without the risk and cost of integration.”
Products and solutions using the current release of Ontology’s semantic search platform, Ontology 3.7, include:
Ontology Intelligent 360 for Telecommunications
Real-time Service Impact Analysis
Unified Network and Service Topology
Change Management
Ontology Intelligent 360 for Finance
Trade Reconstruction for Compliance
Risk Data Aggregation and Risk Reporting
Ontology Integrity Manager
Operational Data Alignment for MDM
Data Migration

As well as Project Rothko, Ontology announce the general availability of Ontology 3.7. This final point release before Project Rothko introduces new productivity tools, enhanced support for unstructured comments fields in data, support for MS Visio and Excel diagram and report generation and scriptable data exporters supporting a wide range of industry standard scripting languages
Project Rothko will be available to Ontology customers this summer.
